Version 1.4 of Flavius was released at the beginning of the month. This version includes two new functionalities that many who have already translated their websites have been waiting for.
1. The introduction of custom engines: for example, in the French-English direction, you can now choose to translate a website having travel as a theme. The translation quality will increase, reducing the number of revisions necessary to reach a good quality translation.
2. The setting up of a feedback module: a feedback module allows you to collect feedback from users of your site (better translation ideas, repercussions from layout problems, and free commentary). This development is important, and this post details the new functionalities of this module.
Aside from these two guiding developments, we have also worked on the following points:
Engineering of the website: the interface was unified, and numerous contextual aids were added to places were users were struggling.
Accrued speed and stability: groundwork was conducted to find certain bugs that slow down the translation or that interfere with revisions. The post edition system has been made increasingly compatible with the sites. Do not hesitate to notify us if it does not work with yours!
Optimization for search engines: our goal is to make you visible for your international prospects. So we optimize the generated code and we monitor its performance on Google and other search engines.
